i love my life ...

New things around here.

I feel guilty and sad that I'm not blogging daily like I use to right now the words are lost spiraling around and can't seem to get it down to type - But life right now is busy and right now I haven't felt the Rhythm I had before with my blogging/sharing. I'm sure that you are all busy too with life and if you have stopped in to read lately I have to say oops and my bad. So what's been going on around here ? New things.

 
This little girl turned two at the start of this month and I will tell you she was so so so happy to get her new bed !! She was not to much of a fan of her crib and usually screamed most of the time she was in it anyways so I sold it and bought her a twin bed - LOVE it !! while we were at Ikea in BC I bought her three different bedding sets and odds and ends to go into her newly done room, paint and deco's all done she is settled nicely into her little nest.

 
Easter was awesome. I loved the interaction between the kids that morning looking for their haul of sweets. I kept chuckling away at the comments they made to each other during the egg hunt.

 
This cool kid lost his first tooth on easter day !! I was so proud of him in a silly way. He was thrilled that it came out and didn't hurt that much at all. The tooth fairy left a big 2 $ for him that night and all I heard from his room was "oh my gosh, I can't believe I lost my tooth" that night.

Oh the Crew is growing so fast and as you can see it's a busy ride and I love it !! Soon I will be done with painting our house and get back at updating my projects that I have also let go of. Letting myself take some time away was nice but I hope to get back to daily notes and updates around here.

And then she turned 2 ....... Party number one.

 
This was a early party that my BC family had put on for Ava before we left to come home. We came home on the 1st and shortly after it was Ava's birthday and then she turned 2 !! I can't believe that !! I have to say that this year was without the dreaded "my baby is 2 now" like I was a wreck and kept repeating on her first birthday - nope this year this mama kept it together and was proud of this little girl in front of me as she listened to everyone signing to her, As she took it in and enjoyed the attention and showed her excitement back to us after we were done signing. I was proud of her for all the new things she has accomplished in just one short year and how she keeps going on in learning and doing things on her own. No tears this year - just beaming smiles and happiness for TWO !!

What do you do after a early morning flight with two kids ?? Eat - we were hungry and looking forward to pancakes and crepes at Ihop.

First glances ....

Something I can never do is hide my excitement ( I would make the worst poker player ). When I saw my family at the airport for the first time I WAS GITTY it had been about 8 long months since I had seen them last summer and oh you can imagine the scene at the airport - if you live far from your family then you know exactly what I am talking about. GITTY GITTY GITTY like a little girl !!

 
My Dad with Ava was a sight to see !! My very cool kid brother - it's so hard being this far away I really do miss him !!!

 
My mom and Ethan - Which looks like the early flight finally hit him, but he was very happy to finally arrive and see everyone.

We were in the clouds + over the mountains to get to grams house. When I take a break I really take a break and hard to believe that it's been so long since I've updated life on here. Spring break was nothing short of Awesome !! I took the kids solo to Vancouver to see my parents and brother. This was our flight day on the 23rd and early morning flight that was perfect because Ava slept the whole flight !! Ethan was too excited to sleep and so was I !! He watched movies on the laptop and looked out the window at all the scenery that passed underneath us. I loved his reaction when we took off - pure crazy happiness.

Slowly I am putting together our stories of our trip - and will get back to sharing very soon. It's so amazing what getting away can do for your soul, and getting away to see family is even better for the soul !!! I'm back more to come soon :)
