LAST WORDS OF 2010 ...

The last few words I will leave with you for 2010 is ... The One little word 2011. Ali Edwards next up coming class at Big Picture found here is the "One little word" class and I just registered for it this morning !! I want to share my one little word for 2011 and with it being New Years Eve tonight what better time to get it out there.

 
My word for 2011 is Balance. I had come to find this word because it always was in my thoughts. Like most mom's I find my self constanly doing the balancing act that life requires us to do. But more than that this word found me because it has SO much meaning to me. Just Balance.

I wish you all a Happy Happy Safe New Years tonight !! Welcome 2011 !!

The crew and I are planning a party at home tonight off to go get some hats and noise makers - I love New Years I love New beginings. CHEERS !!

December Daily : 25th these are the last few pages to finish up the Album. I finally get a few minutes to post them on here. It was a wonderful Christmas here in the harrison house - with this being Ava's second Christmas she was so fun to watch on Christmas morning. If I could explain Christmas in one word it would be Magical .

I posted Decmeber Daily 21 - 25 on the flickr site found here. I loved this project and it's probably something I will do each year now. Big thanks to Ali for creating and opening up a great project.

With The New Year fastly approching us I can't help but think about what's coming up ... what will 2011 bring us and all that. I know for certain my next project is "One little word" Created by Ali and info found here. I have picked out my word and I think it's a good one for where I am in my life right now. Will Share it soon.

December Daily : 13 - 20th

I can flat out say that the December Daily project was a little hard to keep up to date on here, But I some what managed to get it onto the flickr site so Instead of posting 8 days worth on here I will link my days to the flickr site and you can view them there. I hope Everyone is enjoying their December so far and I can't believe that christmas is 2 days away from us - CRAZY talk ! But I am ready + welcoming this Christmas with joy. I can't wait to see the look on the kids faces saturday morning.

As I look forward to 2011 I'm thinking of what this New Year will bring us - All I ask for is good health + I'm happy with that. I also was thinking of my "One little word" For Twenty eleven. Ali is putting on a class to go along with one little word this year I'm joining it and I think you should too - Information on the class go here.

That so far bring me up to date on the flickr site, But I still have a few more days to photograph and post up there too missing 21 + 22 if I get some time later today I will post them up. I hope to have this all wrapped up by the 26th but if not then 27th and then I can put December Daily 2010 on my bookshelf all done and documented. As a first time December Daily participant I found that this project although some times, time consuming was not at all a burden or taking away anything from the joy of this Holiday season In fact it brought me to really pay attention to the things we love the most about this month. The old traditions and the new ones made. The attention to how Christmas looks this year with the kids at this age. Who knows what next year will bring - will we have a new home + etc. The kids will be older and wiser and hoping that they will still have that holiday spirit that they have this year. IT ALL GOES TO FAST !!

December daily : 12th

 
 
December 12th was another cozy day in - I made our annual family cards. I went ahead in photoshop and added a photo I took of the kids hanging around on the couch being them selves nothing to forced or proped just them. Added it to a red colour block and used one of Ali's Holiday brush sets for the "Peace on earth and goodwill to all" , Then I added in a deer brush on top and text at the bottom. They turned out pretty good I think - I will be sending these out very soon.

 
My AE overlay page was about Ethan and how we watched a sunday night classic Christmas movie Rudolph the red nose reindeer. He was glued to the screen and really it was a great classic to add to our traditional favorites. I love the look on his face in that photo.

December daily : 11th

 
 
December 11 th marks the day of my work Christmas party, It was wonderful to get dressed up and celebrate the season with great people it was so much fun !! Bonus was we all got GPS units as our gifts !! The food was amazing that party will be know as the one that's hard to top.

 

December Daily : 10th

 
 
 
 
December 10 th was the day I took the kids for their Santa 2010 visit ! It was the most excited I've seen the kids so far this Christmas ( until Christmas morning I'm sure ). We walked through the mall to get to the Santa Village in the centre of the mall and once we got closer I could see Ethan going a little faster adn Ava was right behind him.

I loved the Santa visit of 2010 !! I'm pretty sure Ava was in awe she has master the word "Santa" and ho ho ho. It was beyond awesome to see her get so into Christmas this year. love it !!

December Daily : 9th

 
 
 
December 9th - I loved that today I was surprised with a tray of home made holiday cookies from a friend. I was totally surprised when I opened the door to see all the yummy treats. Thanks Amy !! The funny thing about this was that I was planning on making cookies with the kids - I will save that for another day I guess.

I also went onto Martha Stewart's web site to look for some more recipes that I could do with the kids- I found one that I want to try it's called lemon wreath cookie I printed it out and placed it in the clear folder to the left. YUM cookies.

Day 8 - Today I noticed how much more beautiful our home looks when it's decorated with Christmas spirit. The poinsettas on the table to the little silve star garland we have hanging on the living room mirror.I love all these special details around the house - makes Christmas so so magical.

December Daily : Day 7

 
 
 
Day 7 had me and Ava on the GO - it was a non-stop run around kinda day and by the time we got back home it was time to go get Ethan from school. That's a typical days of december on the go for this house.

December Daily : Day six.

I've not been so great at updating my blog about my December daily and although I've caught up on the days and sharing on flickr I have some how left out my blog - Oops ! So here is day six.

 
 
 
Day 6 was a day around the house with Ava following me in just about every room with her "kitty" this little stuffed animal was her brothers and once Ava showed some interest he very nicely gave it to her. I also added in a photo of myself in the mirror and some thougths on the day and how December is rolling and how I am part of this process of documenting this Album - mostly behind the sceene but still very much here.

One little added 4x6 insert and journaling on the back - talking about Ava's scarf I want to make for her this year. Not sure how it will end up but will give it a try anyways.
