Oh yes I remember now ...

 
I remember now that feeling of excitement as the first snow fall of the year has come, And the bundling up of the little ones and the fight of the dressing in snow pants the morning the days we walk to school. Oh yes I remember now the faithful jogger I love so so much has truly been through the trenches of snow with total ease I might add - Very good jogger !! I remember the warmth of my mittens - Very good North Face !! I remember the delight I felt knowing that christmas is on it's way and that the kids will be so excited to know that Santa is on his way. LOVE IT ALL !

Next week marks the start of December and that means I get to start December Daily - I will document the days as they come and go leading up to christmas day. I'm not sure how up to date I will be on here with the project but hoping to share as I go. Right now is the prep mode - I have a few decor projects I want to do and found sources to share as well. This weekend I will go through all my decorations and see what I will keep for the tree this year and what I won't ... with a toddler and a puppy around this year somethings are going to change a little, But still keeping with tradition.

With the lovely apperance of Snow today ... We are sitting in striped tights + heart thermal tops, and playing with tractors and keeping warm :)

 
 
Do you like tractors Ava ? OOOOOOooooooooo was her response, I'll take it as a yes and yes she really really does !!

Do you have snow today were you live ? It's really starting to look like Winter now and I'm lovin' it !! Ty thinks I'm crazy for that but I do - So bright and pretty. What I don't like is crazy winter drivers on the road !! Got my latte fix + did the running around this morning so we would have our Afternoon to chill out and watch the snow fall - beautiful !!

On my way to pick up the mini-dude from school right away .... get out the ski pants !! It's time to jump into the snow !! Hello Winter - I love that you are here.

December Daily on the brain

I can't help but think about how fast November is going !! Which makes me think that December is very very near which means December Daily project is up on deck !! So many very Inspiring albums up on the flickr group as well as Ali Edwards site. I was searching for a journaling digital that I could either print out + put my own hand writing on or write up on PS first then print out I found these lovely tags from Katie Pertiet - found here.

 

I will print off a few of these today for a test run or I will plan on having a few out for when December rolls on I'm ready to jot things straight onto the card as the day goes. Fresh in my mind - and being in the moment.

In her room.

 
Right now in her room you will find a new little place for a little girl to be - a little girl - I moved around some furniture and changed a few things here + there to help her transition from baby room to little girl room. I am still adding a few finishing touches then I will do a complete post on the new space.  Right now in her room you will find a few of her favorite things like the image above ... her "pretty" things. Dresses and tu tu's hung on a hook next to "her size" full length mirror to play a little dress up + see her self .... she is very into looking at what she has on and seeing what she looks like ... lol, does it really start this young ?

I am super Insipred with a few holiday decor Ideas out there and I plan on tackling them this week. After last week's fun with the flu I am now totally recovered and needing to catch up on the week that was lost. I will finish up searching the online world for the holiday Ideas and post what I find later this week. Enjoy your Monday !!

Dear Blog ....

Dear Blog of mine I feel like I have abandoned you ... I promise I have not intentionally done so. After writing on Monday that Ava had the stomach flu it was not long before it turn into the entire household having the stomach flu !! I won't go into gory details of our fun, it was not the way I imagined the week to go. Not at all.

I do believe that we are starting to get back to our regular selves and will start to get back into our day to day routine. Some of us pulled out of it faster then others but all in all we are getting there. I'm hoping to be back 100% this weekend so I can do some catching up on a whole lot of things .... right now I'm sitting at 80%.

Sleep ... slowly introduce food again .... sleep some more - great recovery plan. Hope you all have a great Friday !!

Oh Monday !

We are taking things slow today ... Ava is sick with the stomach flu and we have both been up since 5 am. I don't like seeing her sick and I'm hoping that it passes fast. looking forward to resting with her and taking it slow on this Monday .... everything that was planned for today will just have to wait till tomorrow. I'm ok with that .

This is a typical lunch time happening around here, Or any meal time to be honest - This is Oliver our 4 month old pup + those little toes belong to my 18 month old daughter . HE KNOWS where to sit and wait until she drops something yummy on the floor ... which he is lightening fast and  get's at it before I can. They have plotted this together I just know it. But really I couldn't resist this shot of her little toes + her little pup waiting quietly below her.

A plan is in the works today let's see if it all pans out. It's Friday which means I will have my Friday morning conference call with the bestest lady ever - my mom. I want to tell you all how happy I was when I got a call at work last night from Ava her self ... just to say "Hi - Bye" awww that was great to hear but then I just wanted to run home and kiss her - But there was a point to that call besides her message it was a call to tell me that she had just gone on the potty for the first time - and I missed it !! Bummer !! But I was very very happy that I was called to be notified ... Thanks babe for doing that. Here we go with the potty training I didn't want to mention it but she has been asking "potty" for a while now and we do get her on it, I just didn't think it was gonna be this fast let's see if she keeps up with it. AWESOME AVA !!

This weekend is The big old winterizing of the house project. Snow is near and this house is old + cold ... so we winterize it up. November is also the time of year that I loose my voice EVERY YEAR at this time and right now I'm trying to hang on and do some early tending to it so I don't loose it as badly - I would love not to loose it, thanks. Hot teas for me please. I will also be picking up some prints for my Halloween mini-album today and putting that together over the weekend. Have a great one !!

 Something I totally believe in - Be in the moment , I try to stop and take a second when something wonderful is happening and be thankful that I was able to be in that moment. Even if that moment was a mama + her daughter being silly girls and dancing to music and playing dress up and letting her explore and discover play time a little farther. A little silly time is so so needed - I plan on making more time for silly time !!

On a Halloween night.

On a Halloween night there was one Darth Vader + one little Yoda ...

 
I wasn't surprised at all when Ethan said he wanted to be Darth Vader for Halloween but then when I asked him what's Ava going to be ?  He only took a second then yelled out Yoda mom !! I was on a mission to find or make an outfit for her but thankfully I found one at our local party stuff store - sweet. So this is the Harrison crew Halloween 2010. Next year I think Ava get's to pick out what they are. She did make a great Yoda though - my heart is smiling just looking at this picture of them together.

 
 
 
We got way too much candy between the two of them - but I know that daddy will help with that ! I was very impressed with ethan yelling out so loud at each house - but I needed to remind him to say thank-you after he recieved some goodies. I was Impressed with Ava and how she was so into Halloween like really into it even the candy !! Hmmm . 

I hope you all had a great night !! It's now November today - On the list of to-do's is a halloween clean up ... steal some of the kids candy and do something creative. Cheers !!
